It's especially solid with power bats when you're hunting one area and you'd rather be consistently dangerous than occasionally perfect.

Timing and discipline still win games

The sneaky killer in 26 is still being early, especially on off-speed. Your brain wants to swing when the ball pops out of the hand, and that's exactly how you roll over changeups and wave at curves. Sit middle early. Make them prove they can dot corners. If it's low-and-away junk, let it go until two strikes, then battle.
